After taking two key steps in the Porsche one-make pyramid over the past two seasons, teenage racer Paul Bocuse is ready to make his Porsche Carrera Cup North America debut in 2025.

As the youngest-ever member of the Porsche EBOOST Junior Program, Bocuse hails from Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama, where he jumped into a racecar for the first time in 2023.

Bocuse achieved instant success and emerged as the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport Pro/Am champion, in addition to the Sprint Challenge GT4 Clubsport Junior champion. That season, Bocuse finished on the podium in all but one race, showing consistent results, and scored his inaugural win at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

That championship earned him a scholarship to take the next step on the Porshe pyramid.

For 2024, he advanced into the 992 GT3 Cup Pro/Am class, where again he collected 13 podiums in 14 races en route to finishing runner-up in the championship. He also took victory with Trenton Estep in the first ever Porsche Endurance Challenge North America event at Circuit of the Americas.

“I really tried to do it as Porsche recommended me to,” described Bocuse.
“I started in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS in Porsche Sprint Challenge and was able to win that right away – it was my first year in a racecar – so, I was super happy to come away with a win in that.

“The next step was Porsche Sprint Challenge again, this time in the 992 GT3 Cup car. I wasn’t able to win in the championship rounds but we did win the opening endurance race which was a huge result.

“I was definitely able to learn and develop a lot in Porsche Sprint Challenge and get used to the car for Carrera Cup.

“I’m just super thankful that Porsche has a ladder system for me to be able to develop and grow as a driver.”

If Sprint Challenge was where Bocuse got his feet wet, he’s prepared to fully dive in with Carrera Cup. The series features 16 rounds across eight weekends on some of the biggest stages in North America, including three events supporting Formula One – at Miami International Autodrome in May, Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in June and at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas to conclude the 2025 Carrera Cup season.

“The F1 tracks are super cool and it’s a different challenge because two of them, Miami and Montreal, are temporary circuits, so you don’t get to test,” Bocuse noted.

“It’s definitely a different challenge compared to the rest of the tracks like Sebring, which people are testing at all winter. It’s something I’m not used to because Porsche Sprint Challenge never raced on temporary circuits like that.”

The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season gets underway in one month’s time at Sebring International Raceway on March 12 – 15 as part of the historic 12 Hours of Sebring event.
