Pmna Carrera Cup Test 2025 51 Edit 2

Sebring Opener:

Sebring International Raceway is a long-standing favorite on the Porsche Carrera Cup North America calendar, opening the season every year since 2021.

A year ago, Loek Hartog and Gustav Burton split the weekend’s overall wins.

Testing, Testing:

Porsche Carrera Cup North America has traditionally preceded the season with a test at Sebring, and this year was no exception.

Teams and drivers visited the track for two full days, March 3 – 4. Ryan Yardley and Topp Racing led the way with a best time of 2:02.042 overall and in the Pro class.

Yardley completed 122 laps during the two days. In all, 12 drivers set times that bettered the the 2024 pole qualifying time at Sebring (2:03.291), including drivers from Topp Racing (Yardley and Tyler Maxon), Kellymoss (Riley Dickinson and Aaron Jeansonne, JDX Racing (Zachary Vanier and Paul Bocuse), JTR Motorspors Engineering (Jared Thomas), ACI Motorsports (Jimmy Llibre and Yves Baltas), Alegra Motorsports (Michael de Quesada) and Nolasport (Matheus Leist),

Staying Home:

Two drivers on the entry list this week call Florida home. Michael de Quesada is a Florida native who calls Tampa home, while 17-year-old Paul Bocuse lives with his family in Orlando.

International Acclaim:

Porsche Carrera Cup North America has, throughout its history, been an opportunity for international drivers to compete.

Through four seasons, each championship driver has come from a different country – Sebastian Priaulx (Great Britan), Parker Thompson (Canada), Riley Dickinson (United States) and Loek Hartog (Netherlands). This season’s grid represents five different nationalities.

New faces:

In addition to a strong line-up of established teams, Rotek Racing joins the Carrera Cup North America grid for the first time in 2025.

Led by Robb Holland, Rotek Racing is the winningest team in GT America. Jaden Lander and Brady Behrman will conduct the season with Rotek Racing.

Additionally, longtime Porsche racers GMG Racing have committed to a full Porsche Carrera Cup North America season for the first time with championship-winning driver James Sofronas, with Patrick Mulcahy making his series debut alongside.

Mobil 1 Female Driver Development:

Three drivers will utilize the Mobil 1 Female Driver Development program to augment their racing in 2025.

Sabré Cook, who has been part of the program since its inception three years ago returns, joined by JDX Racing teammate Madeline Stewart and series newcomer Ashley Freiberg.

The program provides motorsport training and seminars and subsidized entry fees to all drives, while high performing drivers have an opportunity to earn a free set of Yokohama tires each race event.

Partner up:

PenFed Credit Union has joined Porsche Carrera Cup North America as a presenting partner, represented on each of the cars on the grid during the first two rounds (Sebring and Miami) and the final two rounds (Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and Circuit of the Americas).

Tire partner Yokohama returns for a second season with the Yokohama ADVAN A005 slicks for dry sessions and the Yokohama ADVAN A006 for rain races.

Each Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will be fueled with Exxon Mobil Synergy Supreme + gasoline during on-track sessions.

Each driver wears a custom Sparco suit during races, with the quickest qualifier starting from the Race Brew Pole. Eboost earns status as official drink of Porsche Carrera Cup North America in 2025.

If the timesheet is any guide, this year’s fifth anniversary season of Porsche Carrera Cup North America championship is set to be an incredibly fierce battle.

In this week’s pre-season test at Sebring International Raceway, a total of 12 drivers recorded laps faster than last year’s pole position time of 2:03.291 seconds from eventual champion Loek Hartog.

While Hartog continues to charge up the Porsche Driver Development Pyramid into a drive at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans with Manthey Racing – a host of new young stars, plus a familiar face, are set to battle it out for championship honors this season.

The 2023 series champion, Riley Dickinson, returned to Carrera Cup action at the test and was immediately on the pace. While he broke series records en route to his championship title, this year, he will face tough opposition both from within his own Kellymoss squad as well as other teams.

His new teammates include a pair of race winners, who make the jump to Carrera Cup this year. Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama race winner and 2023 991 class champion Ashley Freiberg will make her debut this year alongside two-time Porsche Endurance Challenge North America by Yokohama race winner Aaron Jeansonne.

Both were faster than last year’s pole time at the pre-season test.

Pmna Carrera Cup Test 2025 469

They weren’t alone with that honor. Topp Racing’s Tyler Maxson finished the test hot on the heels of his teammate Ryan Yardley, who finished second in last year’s championship.

The third-place racer in last year’s title hunt also has competition from within his own team. Zachary Vanier will be joined by Paul Bocuse – another Porsche Sprint Challenge North America graduate – continuing his climb up the Porsche Motorsport pyramid.

Bocuse won the Cayman Pro-Am class in 2023 and went on to score 13 podiums from 14 races in GT3 Cup Pro-Am last season.

The 2024 Porsche Sprint Challenge series champion, Jared Thomas, is not only coming to Carrera Cup as a driver, but he is bringing his entire team to run a multi-car operation in 2025.

Jared Thomas was one of the front runners in testing in the Pro class, while JTR Motorsports Engineering also will enter Peter Atwater and Rob Walker in the Masters category this year.

Other new teams joining the championship include Robb Holland’s Rotek Racing, which won two GT4 championships in SRO competition last year. Holland’s GT4 America co-driver Jaden Lander will make his Pro class debut this year, while Brady Behrman will contest the Pro-Am class.

Pmna Carrera Cup Test 2025 423

While not a new team, NOLASPORT returns to Carrera Cup competition with ex-INDYCAR racer Matheus Leist at the wheel. He was one of the 12 racers quicker than last year’s pole time. His GT4 America teammate from last season, Michael Auriemma, will debut in the Masters class.

Keep an eye out for Alegra Motorsports in 2025 as well. Carlos De Quesada has handed driving duties to his son Michael, who has massive experience in Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machinery, including the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.

Teams return to Sebring on Tuesday, March 11, to unload before the first practice sessions are held on Wednesday, March 12, at 9:40 a.m. ET and 2:10 p.m.

Qualifying is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, and the first race of the season going green at 4:55 p.m. The second round will race into darkness on Friday, March 14 from 6:15 p.m.

Pmna Carrera Cup Test 2025 332

After finishing runner-up in the Pro championship in Porsche Carrera Cup North America last year, Topp Racing’s rapid New Zealand racer Ryan Yardley has his sights set on going one better in 2025.

In the most competitive season ever in Carrera Cup in North America, Yardley not only was a model of consistency, but he also took three victories including two wins in the last two weekends at Road Atlanta and Circuit of The Americas.

It was a giant-killing performance from Yardley and Topp Racing. While many of the leading teams in the series arrive with a fleet of cars, Topp Racing’s two-car Pro class effort (plus the Masters entry of Jeff Mosing) last year proved they are ready to tackle the ‘top dogs’ of the championship.

“It’s great to be back with Top Racing and TCS Fuels for another year of Carrera Cup North America. The goal is pretty simple – go and win a championship this year,” Yardley said.

“I’m super excited to get the year started. I love Sebring, so it’s pretty cool to start the year there, and I am really looking forward to getting going.

“I know it is going to be a tough and fiercely competitive year as always but I’m excited to get back out there.”

Pmna Carrera Cup Sebring Test 2024 774

Yardley landed in the US in 2018 with a dream. A standout in karting and single-seaters in New Zealand, his career had come to a halt due to a lack of funding. Chasing the American dream was going to be hard – especially since he arrived without a budget, without a ride and only armed with a fierce desire to succeed.

“I jumped back on a plane in 2018 and never really thought this would happen – coming into my third season of Carrera Cup in a row. I always hoped I’d get the opportunity to get back in a race car here in America. Still, I never knew how hard it was going to be and how hard the road is – not only New Zealand drivers – but drivers from around the world trying to stay relative and stay in a race car.

“I never ever would have dreamed of being in this situation and obviously it’s great to have some incredible people surrounding me and supporting me. I’m super happy to be back with Topp Racing and TCS. They are the ones that have made it happen for the last two years and to continue that into a third year is amazing.

“We showed last year that we were serious contenders for the championship and could fight for wins and podiums every race of the season. So it’s super cool to get the same group back together for another year, and let’s see if we can go one better than we did last year and finish the year on top.”

Pmna Celebration Of Champions 2024 75

Yardley really began to showcase his potential in the final race of the 2023 season when he finished second at Circuit of The Americas. That was a precursor to an incredible season in 2024 when he recorded 10 podiums and 14 top-ten finishes.

“My first year in Carrera Cup in 2023 was my first season in a sports car. Most of my stuff before that had been in single-seater racing, whether that be Formula Ford, F4 or Formula Regional. So it was definitely an eye opener coming to sports cars,” Yardley said

“It’s a move that I’d always wanted to make. In 2023 I was just learning and adapting and trying to understand what this car needed. There are not very many setup changes you can make to the Carrera Cup car so it really does come down to the driver, adjusting driving style and adapting to the conditions.

“It definitely took a while to get going. We had glimpses of good results nothing like standing on a podium until the last race of the year at COTA.

“I think that’s one thing we did really well last year was putting complete weekends together.

“We’d roll out for practice one and be straight at the top or in the top three. Being competitive straight away flowed on to qualifying and then starting in the first couple of rows. That puts you in a position to fight for race wins and podiums.”

Pmna Road Atlanta 2024 79

Yardley’s performances in Porsche Carrera Cup North America are starting to be noticed back home in New Zealand. This season he will have added support from the Giltrap Group – a leading importer, distributor, and retailer of vehicles in New Zealand.

European Motors Limited is part of the Giltrap Group and has been the exclusive distributor of Porsche cars in New Zealand since 1977.

Yardley joins an impressive list of young drivers who have been supported by the late Sir Colin Giltrap’s organization. Scott Dixon, Brendan Hartley, Earl Bamber and Liam Lawson also received vital career boosts as young drivers.

“It’s an awesome thing to join Giltrap Group this year. They helped me out a little bit a few years ago when I did my Formula Regional here in the States, but to join them properly this year is fantastic.

“They have been instrumental for New Zealand drivers all around the world and I am super proud to represent them this year.”

Pmna Indianapolis 2024 71

Not only is Yardley starting to achieve career firsts in Porsche Carrera Cup North America – his team Topp Racing is equally rising through the ranks.

“To achieve all this success with Todd Oppermann and all the guys at Topp is very rewarding,” Yardley said.

“I think that’s one of the coolest things about coming back for a third year. My results have gotten better over the last two years and so has the team. It was pretty exciting last year to get the team’s first pole position, the team’s first race win, and then to finish second in the championship – Topp had never achieved a result like that before.

“It’s been a huge effort from the team, from Todd and all the boys in the shop as well. I think we showed last year that we’re definitely getting better and better each time we go out on track.

“What’s exciting about this year is that we know we can hit the ground running. We’ve got set ups now from every track and we’re on the same Yokohama tire. Last year’s move to Yokohama was a big learning step for me since I was heading into only my second year in sports car racing.

“Same team, same car, same tire and same great support from TCS Fuels – I feel pretty privileged to have such an awesome group of people behind me.”

Zachary Vanier is used to facing battles on track in Porsche Carrera Cup North America, but the young driver saw his most challenging obstacle arise during this past offseason.

The Canadian is one of many drivers returning to the series’ roster in 2025 and does so with incredible momentum from 2024. Vanier closed the season with two wins and two podium finishes in the final four races, and it’s perhaps those results that helped him secure his seat for a second straight year in the premier Porsche one-make series.

But as Vanier describes, he had one thing working against him – the budget book.

Zach Vanier Livery

“Honestly, this offseason was probably the toughest I’ve endured in my career,” admitted Vanier.

“It was down to the wire to make this season happen, and I had to bring on a lot of new partners for 2025. That is really exciting but also nerve-wracking in the sense that you’re going through the holidays and New Year not knowing what’s going to happen or where you’re going to end up.

“It’s a challenge coming from the circumstances that I’m in, but it’s also motivating that I’m working for all the opportunities that I have. It’s not being given to me. If I want it, I have to go and get it. I do want it.”

Since his first season running Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama in 2023, Vanier has made no secret of the efforts he and his family undertake to get him on the grid. He and his father have driven to each race from their home in Garson, Ontario – more than four hours north of Toronto – and often forgo nicer accommodations to keep the finances in check.

Pmna Road Atlanta 2024 423

“We’re making the drive together and having the time together to bond and talk about things leading up to the race and, of course, debriefing on the way home,” said Vanier.

“We do a good job of maximizing our budget, staying in places that suit our needs, and making the most of the opportunities we have every season. It’s really exciting to bring back partners that I’ve had for over 12 years now, but it’s also really exciting to bring on some new ones.”

“Maximizing” seems to be the name of the game for Vanier as he stares down his sophomore season in Carrera Cup. He returns with JDX Racing after a successful rookie campaign that along with the two late-season wins, also included a debut victory at the Formula One Miami Grand Prix in May.

Vanier won’t be the only up-and-comer that JDX Racing has entrusted with one of its Porsche 992 GT3 Cup racecars in 2025. In fact, the theme of young talent is one that the team – founded by Jeremy Dale and Harrison Brix in 2008 – has stayed true to in its nearly 20 years of operations.

“It’s something that Jeremy has stressed with me for many years,” said Vanier, who met Dale back in 2018.

“It’s something that (Jeremy and Harrison) certainly developed within the team over the years having gone from one Pro car to now four. That’s their biggest focus and when developing that young talent, something that comes with it is winning championships.

‘That’s certainly something that’s been emphasized within the team this year is to be champions again, they want to be on top. They want to be the name in conversation.”

Pmna Road Atlanta 2024 437

Vanier claims that the support and shared understanding can propel the team this year, as the 16-round calendar is set to kick off next month at Sebring International Raceway. Vanier is no stranger to victory lane at Sebring, having won twice in Sprint Challenge in 2023 en route to his 992 GT3 Cup Pro/Am title.

“We’ll certainly use the momentum that we finished off with last season into this season and try and hit the ground running as fast as we can,” said Vanier.

“Like always, this series has a high amount of competition, so that is very motivating for us, and we’ll just keep doing the best we can.”

The first doubleheader for Porsche Carrera Cup North America in 2025 kicks off at Sebring on March 12 – 14. The event follows the opening weekend for both Porsche Sprint Challenge and Porsche Endurance Challenge North America on February 27 – March 2, with Carrera Cup teams arriving to the central Florida circuit for the series’ annual pre-season test on March 3 and 4.

Madeline Stewart is set to return to JDX Racing for a second season in Porsche Carrera Cup North America, with the New Zealand-born driver continuing her racing career in the United States.

Stewart has been a regular for JDX since moving to Indianapolis in 2023 to expand her career opportunities, starting with Porsche Sprint Challenge North America where she finished third in a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

In 2024, she moved with JDX Racing to Porsche Carrera Cup North America as a rookie, scoring top–ten finishes at Road America and Road Atlanta.

She came to grips with the championship in the second half, finishing in the points in six of the final eight races, and returns to a championship, including a series of tracks, that she’s now familiar with entering this season where she’ll remain a part of the Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program.

“I’m really excited to be back with JDX Racing for another season and to continue building on the progress we made last year,” Stewart said.

“Staying with the same team gives us great consistency, which is huge in a championship as competitive as this. Last season was all about learning—getting comfortable with the car, the tracks, and the level of competition.

“Now, with that foundation in place, we’re setting bigger goals and pushing to be even more competitive every weekend. Having now raced at every track on the calendar, I feel much more prepared, and that experience will be a big advantage.

“The team has been working hard in the off-season, and I know we have everything we need to take the next step.”

The season opens officially at Sebring International Raceway, March 12-14, with a doubleheader in support of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, but actually begins with the official series test in early March at the same track.

Stewart is the third of four drivers confirmed for the 2025 season for JDX Racing, joining Sabré Cook and Paul Bocuse in the line-up.

A stalwart of Porsche Carrera Cup North America since its inception in 2021, and in the Porsche GT3 Cup championship prior to that, JDX claimed the driver’s championship with Parker Thompson in 2022 and has been a multi-time winner in each season of the championship.

Blind explained that this motto applies to his and the team’s personality – “Around the paddock, whether race cars or go-karts, we have fun. People love to say, ‘Blind, you’re always causing a ruckus.’” – but also with the car’s hard-to-miss livery. Featuring not only a bright yellow neon wrap, the team’s Porsche displays a face that competitors might do a double take before battling door-to-door.

“I’ve always been a fan of the jester because they represent fun, the clown of the festive nature,” said Blind. “I grew up as the class clown I guess you’d say, so I’ve always liked the jester. I decided we’d make it a little edgy and put a skull under that jester hat. So, my daughter and I drew it up, and it became Ruckus Racing.”

Sebring International Raceway will host a plethora of Porsche one-make teams over the next month, as the track hosts both the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama season opener on February 27 – March 1, The Porsche Endurance Challenge North America on March 1 – 2, and the Porsche Carrera Cup North America debut on March 12 – 14.

The annual pre-season test for Carrera Cup is also set for Sebring on March 3 and 4.

Fans of the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup North America and Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama seasons would be blind if they didn’t notice Scott Blind on the track, on TV or on their leaderboards throughout the year.

“My daughter, who’s 13, said, ‘Dad, maybe we should change the spelling of our name’” joked Blind (appropriately pronounced like “Win”). “But I grew up with it; I never paid any attention to it… When I won at Circuit of The Americas in Carrera Cup, if you look at the comments online, it was funny – “a blind man won that!’”

However, Porsche enthusiasts quickly learned Blind’s name after the Masters driver entered the professional racing ranks in 2022. In fact, until then, Blind considered himself only an enthusiast rather than someone poised for a racing career.

“I never properly raced until recently,” Blind explained. “I’d say five years ago I was running around in a Margay Ignite go-karts, not even wanting to get on track and race with kids, because I didn’t think I belonged out there. I didn’t want to be in their way, and I didn’t want to disrupt the event.”

Blind put his ambitions on the backburner and connected with the young racers around him. If he wasn’t going to be on track himself, he would help others reach their dreams instead, and he did so by supporting drivers in feeder series and open-wheel careers. But naturally, Blind couldn’t ignore his draw to the sport.

Scott Wins

The Missourian entered the World Racing League before purchasing a 991-spec Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to join the 2023 International GT series and became the eventual GT3 Cup Trophy champion – a long way for the man whose first Porsche was a 1984 Porsche 928.

In 2024, Blind then harnessed his passion and entered not one but two of the brand’s one-make series – Porsche Carrera Cup North America and Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama. It was quite a feat for a racing newcomer, but Blind quickly showed he belonged. By the year’s end, Blind was crowned the Sprint Challenge 992 GT3 Cup Masters champion after four wins and six podiums.

Additionally, he scored two wins in the Carrera Cup Masters class and finished third in the championship even while forgoing two rounds at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

For 2025, Blind is set to pull triple duty – Sprint Challenge, Carrera Cup and Porsche Endurance Challenge North America – citing the expertly timed schedules that has Sprint Challenge precede Carrera Cup at multiple circuits.

Qual Story 20241009 001

“Had we been able to race those two Montreal races, we would have been a lot closer,” Blind said.

“It would have been a very tight race up front for sure. But racing is full of woulda, coulda, shoulda’s isn’t it. We got spun three times last year, knocking us from second to ninth, 10th, or 11th, so if we can stay out of the melee, I think we will do very well this year.”

His expectation for future success is well-founded, and the proof is already on paper, literally. At the team’s offseason test at Sebring International Raceway, Blind was a second and a half quicker than last year’s times.

As he and the Ruckus Racing team continue to build on this performance, they are poised to stay true to their roots—by causing a ruckus.

The annual pre-season test for Carrera Cup is also set for Sebring on March 3 and 4.

2023 Porsche Carrera Cup North America Pro champion Riley Dickinson is set to return to the prestigious Porsche one-make championship with Kellymoss in 2025.

Dickinson’s return to Carrera Cup will be a highlight of a huge season of racing for the Texan racer.

Dickinson had a record-breaking season in 2023. He scored 11 wins from 16 rounds, recorded 10 fastest laps as well as 10 pole positions. His incredible success gave him the opportunity to participate in the annual Porsche Motorsport Junior Shootout – representing Porsche Motorsport North America in Portugal.

He spent the season wearing the famous Kellymoss “Racing for Childrens” livery and is now set to return to the same color scheme representing Childrens Healthcare of Alabama.

“Being able to rejoin forces with Kellymoss in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America championship was something that I couldn’t refuse,” Dickinson said.

“Kelly Moss has a lot of exciting things in the pipeline for the future of their program, and aligning myself with some of the very best in the Porsche paddock was an easy choice. I’m looking forward to the challenge of coming back to Carrera Cup.

“We have new drivers, new teams, new tracks, and even a new tire supplier since my last race in 2023. I certainly won’t take anything for granted this year, and I’m excited to continue developing my craft in 2025.”

Pmna Indianapolis 2023 487

Dickinson earned a spot in the Porsche Motorsport North America selected driver program for 2024. Last year he contested the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Kellymoss – taking two victories (the first and last races of the season) alongside fellow Carrera Cup alumni Michael McCarthy.

Dickinson also made his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut at Indianaplis with Kellymoss by Riley.

“I’m immensely proud of what Kellymoss and I achieved in 2023 with winning the championship, and I can’t wait to get back into Carrera Cup competition this year,” Dickinson said.

“We had so many great results that season, and that is a year I’ll certainly never forget. Every year Porsche Carrera Cup North America gets tougher and tougher, and I know we’re going to have to work extremely hard throughout 2025.

“More and more amazing talent keeps graduating into Carrera Cup from Sprint Challenge – repeating that same performance from 2023 is going to be a challenge, but we’re going to give it everything we’ve got.”

Pmna Indianapolis 2023 697

After winning back-to-back championships in Pro and scoring title wins in Pro, Pro-Am, and Masters last year, Kellymoss is not resting on its laurels.

Its 2025 line-up not only features Dickinson but also Porsche Endurance Challenge North America race winner Aaron Jeansonne and Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama winner, Ashley Freiberg.

“Every season poses new challenges with fresh talent on the grid,” said Kellymoss CEO Andy Kilcoyne.

“For us, having Riley back in the paddock makes all our drivers that much sharper and stronger, knowing that their performance has to count every time they step on track.

“It’s great motivation for excellence in racecraft across the board.”

Dickinson will actually be pulling triple duty in 2025. He will not only race in Porsche Carrera Cup North America with Kellymoss but also in Porsche Endurance Challenge North America in another Kellymoss program alongside John Gilliland.

Additionally, he is set to contest the GT4 America championship with Curt Swearingin and ACI Motorsports.

“Last year, Curt and the team had an incredible championship effort, and I’m quite eager to help them build off of their previous successes,” Dickinson said.

“We’ve already had our first test of the year at Sebring, which gave us a chance to continue developing our Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, and I couldn’t be happier with the team’s performance. I can’t wait to officially kick our GT America season off at Sonoma towards the end of March.”

After taking two key steps in the Porsche one-make pyramid over the past two seasons, teenage racer Paul Bocuse is ready to make his Porsche Carrera Cup North America debut in 2025.

As the youngest-ever member of the Porsche EBOOST Junior Program, Bocuse hails from Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama, where he jumped into a racecar for the first time in 2023.

Bocuse achieved instant success and emerged as the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport Pro/Am champion, in addition to the Sprint Challenge GT4 Clubsport Junior champion. That season, Bocuse finished on the podium in all but one race, showing consistent results, and scored his inaugural win at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

That championship earned him a scholarship to take the next step on the Porshe pyramid.

For 2024, he advanced into the 992 GT3 Cup Pro/Am class, where again he collected 13 podiums in 14 races en route to finishing runner-up in the championship. He also took victory with Trenton Estep in the first ever Porsche Endurance Challenge North America event at Circuit of the Americas.

“I really tried to do it as Porsche recommended me to,” described Bocuse.
“I started in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS in Porsche Sprint Challenge and was able to win that right away – it was my first year in a racecar – so, I was super happy to come away with a win in that.

“The next step was Porsche Sprint Challenge again, this time in the 992 GT3 Cup car. I wasn’t able to win in the championship rounds but we did win the opening endurance race which was a huge result.

“I was definitely able to learn and develop a lot in Porsche Sprint Challenge and get used to the car for Carrera Cup.

“I’m just super thankful that Porsche has a ladder system for me to be able to develop and grow as a driver.”

If Sprint Challenge was where Bocuse got his feet wet, he’s prepared to fully dive in with Carrera Cup. The series features 16 rounds across eight weekends on some of the biggest stages in North America, including three events supporting Formula One – at Miami International Autodrome in May, Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in June and at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas to conclude the 2025 Carrera Cup season.

“The F1 tracks are super cool and it’s a different challenge because two of them, Miami and Montreal, are temporary circuits, so you don’t get to test,” Bocuse noted.

“It’s definitely a different challenge compared to the rest of the tracks like Sebring, which people are testing at all winter. It’s something I’m not used to because Porsche Sprint Challenge never raced on temporary circuits like that.”

The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season gets underway in one month’s time at Sebring International Raceway on March 12 – 15 as part of the historic 12 Hours of Sebring event.
